The Oklahoma City Zoological Park and Botanical Garden shall contribute to an understanding and preservation of the earth’s natural resources through positive recreational and educational experiences. The Tulsa Zoo is operated by Tulsa Zoo Management, Inc., an Oklahoma not-for profit. The zoo is located on 84 acres within Mohawk Park, which is the third largest municipal park in the United States. Currently, more than 2,800 animals are on exhibit, many of them rare and endangered. The Tulsa Zoo is accredited by the American Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
